How…..

MANY times I’m asked how I can do what I do with NILMDTS.  Well, my good friend and Fed Ex driver found out personally how I can do what I do.

Knowing that one of the angels I helped had her ‘Angel Day’ (birthday) coming up, I prepared a special “Happy Angel Day” card for her mom and dad.  I asked my Fed Ex friend if he would be willing to drop it off to them on his lunch hour as he drives to their town nearly daily.  He agreed and he was off in his big 20′ semi truck for his regular route.

He found their home and walked up to the front door.  As the mom stood there looking puzzled (she had JUST had a Fed Ex delivery 10 minutes prior and really wondered why this huge semi had pulled up to her house!) he said, ‘I have a special deliver for you’.  She asked who it was from and he told her she better open it to find out.

She opened the envelope, read “Happy Angel Day” and immediately started to cry.

You see….all these parents want is for their baby’s to be REAL.  To have EXISTED.  To be REMEMBERED!  I remember……I always remember these sweet angels that touch my heart to the very core.  These families that I pray for, hope for, cry for.  This mom just wanted her baby to be remembered.

As I sit in my office working that afternoon, that certain Fed Ex driver calls me to relate his side of the story with tears of his own.  He said that was one of the neatest things he’s ever experienced as a driver and thanked me for the opportunity to deliver that special envelope.

It’s the tender mercies just like this…that make what I do important.  J & J…thank you so much for the privilage and honor of holding your precious angel that sacred night.  May you feel her strengthen you and lift you until you are able to cradle her in your arms again.

I simply love tender mercies…..

FUN STUFF!

I have been asked to do the Utah Down Syndrome Foundation’s 2010 calendar.  I had the privelage of meeting 4 handsome little boys for the September month.  We had so much fun!

Here’s a few from the session.

Little man J came into the studio for his 9 month portraits…

What a handsome lil guy!  He was up to anything I wanted to do as long as I didn’t dress or undress him!  I fell in LOVE with the image where he is crying, not because I like to see kids cry, but because he melted my heart!  He is such a happy guy all the time and to see him upset just wasn’t right making that image almost odd.

Thanks Wade & Cherie for sharing him with us!  I can’t WAIT for his FIRST birthday pics and to meet his new baby sister!
